Yeosu City Tour

Yeosu Port - Dolsan Grand Bridge - Heungguksa - Jinnamgwan - Yeosu Port

Upon arrival at Yeosu port, you will meet your guide. After a short introduction,

you will get on an air-conditioned minivan or a small bus.

As you set out on your tour, don’t miss the view of Korea’s Dolsan Grand Bridge.

This very impressive 14,796 foot-long cable-stayed structure connects Yeosu with Dolsan Island.

Famous for its beautiful scenery, Dolsan Island is a popular resort for urbanites, as it features great views of Dadohae and Yeosu Harbor.

We will then head to the Heungguksa Temple – a place of patriotic Buddhism.

Heungguksa was founded by the monk Bojo in the 25th year of Myeongjong in Goryeo (AD 1195).

During the Japanese Occupation, it became a training center for naval soldiers.

Take a look inside Jinnamgwan, which was used as a guest house during the Joseon dynasty.

This is the largest wooden single-story building ever constructed in Korea.

It was the headquarters of the Samdo naval soldiers during the Japanese invasion,

and is revered for its role in Korean national identity.
